J. Michael Evans

Attorney J. Michael Evans obtained his juris doctorate degree from the Ohio State College of Law in 1967.  He spent three years in the United States Army as an infantry officer, but during his military service he had the opportunity to serve as counsel in several hundred trials before military tribunals, including much of his one year tour of Vietnam. He then worked one year as an adjudicator for the Veterans' Administration in Newark, New Jersey, followed by five years in the Union County, New Jersey Prosecutor's Office, where he handled more than 100 jury trials, including several major trials. He then established his practice of law in Columbus, Ohio in 1978.
Attorney Evans practice has been concentrated in several litigation areas.  The focus of his practice for the past 25 years has been in the areas of probate law, probate litigation and psychiatric law.  He has also represented many clients in plaintiff's personal injury, product liability and wrongful death areas as co-counsel with long time friend, Jim Blumenstiel.
